Call for applications CREA Summer Academies (Deadline)

CREA is a European Network of Summer Academies with the aim to strengthen entrepreneurship in innovative sectors by using ICT and Creativity as levers. CREA is looking for students from varied backgrounds and with a real interest in entrepreneurship who want to participate to an all-around training, getting in touch with students, professionals and professors from all around the world.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This year participants can choose from 7 Summer Academies - Italy, Germany, Slovenia, UK, Netherlands, Estonia, Greece - each of them with a specific area of expertise, and they can apply as individual (with or without a business idea) or with an already existing team.

Starting from ideas, you will be helped in develop all the aspects of a real entrepreneurship and will pitch in front of a jury. The best teams will compete in an international Business Contest, which will be held during a big event in Europe in the fall of 2016.

CREA provides coaching, tutoring and mentoring, which takes the students from their ideas, via the identification of market opportunities, to conceptualization and planning and finally to the start-up of a new company. At the end of each summer academy, a qualified jury selects the best ideas. The selected projects’ teams are given the opportunity to pitch it in front of possible investors.

During the first edition in 2015, CREA Summer Academy reached more than 300.000 persons, collected more than 800 connections on the f6s.com platform and 318 finalized applications. There were 134 selected participants, divided in 71 early stage business ideas and in 6 Summer Academies around Europe. 32 business ideas have been evolved, and the best 11 has been selected to pitch at the CREA ICT Business Idea Contest at the ICT 2015 European Commission Event in Lisbon.
The winning teams had the chance to be incubated in one of the business incubators involved in the CREA network to develop their Ideas in a Start Up.
